Being Stuck. Getting Unstuck.
How to combat listlessness
Good morning you wonderful people. We can all struggle with getting “stuck” in our lives. Whether it is on a personal project, at work, in a relationship, or just that painful feeling of listlessness, it’s a feeling I am sure you know well…and probably dread. Today I am thinking about how to escape the terrible feeling of being “stuck”.

I think there are various points in everyone's life where they feel stuck. It can manifest in so many different ways but there are usually some telltale signs.
There is usually a sense of listlessness that comes over you. Like everything you touch loses its significance, if it had any to begin with. It becomes more and more difficult to focus on the things that you used to think were of the utmost importance. And you begin to feel an increasing sense of doubt in all of the decisions that you make.
From my experience, a lot of this comes from fear. I think I am afraid. I am not 100% sure what I am afraid of, but there is an overwhelming correlation I have noticed between "feeling stuck" and "being afraid".
In any case, neither feeling is a good one and I don't intend to let it overwhelm me. There is a simple remedy for this particular type of melancholy. It's not for everyone, but for those it works for, it works like a charm.
Do more. Whatever it is that you know, deep down, you are doing. Do it. Do a lot of it. Do an uncomfortable amount of that thing. Overwhelm yourself with the sheer volume of work that gives you confidence. Get unstuck by doing. Let the rest unfold.
For me, that will be writing. And a whole lot of it.
I encourage you to find your mechanism for getting unstuck.
